Process / Problem:
The chlorine pump skid on the Monomer plant could not previously be closed down correctly for maintenance due to the isolating valves leaking when shut off. This caused a hazard to plant operations and more importantly an increase in safety hazard to the operators.
Solution:
The end user changed to Hunt & Mitton Series 8800/01 in sizes DN25 to DN 80mm. Our Euro chlor approved design, with carefully selected trim material has delivered repeated tight shutoff with zero bubble leakage during operation for the last ten months.
Benefit:
Well designed and carefully made bellows sealed valves protect the working area for operators and the environment from harmful emissions of dangerous chemicals. They are proven to be the primary design for ensuring zero leakage.
